Chic Critique is looking for their sixth issue cover! I am an avid reader of the publication, so I decided to submit an image for the upcoming cover contest. I took this photograph when I was visiting in Melbourne, Australia and had the immense opportunity to work with the very talented Make-Up and Hair Stylist, Jenya Fowler. While I was visiting in Melbourne, Australia I had the immense privilege of working with Jenya Fowler, Make-Up and Hair Artist, for this bridal portrait shoot. This bridal shoot took place at Federation Square, in the heart of Melbourne’s Central Business District.
Being of a deconstructivist style, Federation Square has a lot of modern minimalist shapes combined with geometry. It’s sandstone facade is not only bold but unique in style. The interior is very art inspiring as well. All in all it was the perfect location to showcase our models Genelle and Dani’s feminine lines.
We also strolled down to the Yarra Riverfront, located next to Fed Square, to capture some romantic images of the girls. It was beautiful sun kissed day which only made the afternoon even better. I am so thrilled about this collaboration and the outcome. I hope you like it too! Comments are always welcome.

We chose to shoot this bridal session at Federation Square, in the cultural heart of Melbourne, Australia. Characterized by modern minimalist shapes interspersed with geometry, I thought it was the perfect accent to capturing modern and stylish bridal portraits.

I decided to submit one of my favorite bridal images to the Chic Critique Magazine for their upcoming cover contest. I was so thrilled when my image was chosen as runner up for the last issue, so I decided to give it another go around.
I really love Chic Critique magazine, it’s a huge source of inspiration for me. This is my first bridal portrait submission! I thought this would be a great opportunity, not to mention it is one of my all-time favorites.

I had the most wonderful time planning and photographing this bridal session. Working on these images was an immense pleasure and I am so excited to share these. First off, Kristen is just so beautiful. I think she missed her calling as a model. Seriously! She is a complete natural in front of the camera.
This bridal photography session seemed effortless. I thought it would be a fun to create a vintage style dressing room for this shoot, while bringing the indoors outside. Of course, I cannot go without saying what a amazing hair and make-up artist I got to work with on this shoot. Kudos goes to Elizabeth Thomas. She is such a joy to work with and was the key to making this shoot a success.
Bridal photography can be such a wonderful pre-cursor to your wedding day. I highly recommend booking a session with your photographer (or me) if you live in the area! It’s a wonderful opportunity to get to know who will be photographing your wedding day as well as getting comfortable in front of the camera.
